Blindspot Annual Juried Exhibition
Group Exhibition
Exhibition dates: February 7 - 15
Opening reception: February 7, 6-8pm
The Blindspot Annual Juried Exhibition is an annual lens based show held at Alberta College of Art and Design, and is organized entirely by photography students. This annual exhibition gives students new opportunities to learn about curatorial processes, and teaches them how to submit their work to different exhibitions. This year, the Blindspot Annual Juried Exhibition will be showcasing works from students and alumni of Alberta College of Art and Design that reflect the theme, “Seeking Place”. The exhibition connects and brings together the work of both commercial photography and fine art photography students. Blindspot connects with curators and artists within the Calgary community, and asks three industry professionals to come and jury the work so that the process is fair and a real representation of the gallery experience outside of Alberta College of Art and Design’s student run gallery spaces.
