ANGELA BOEHM - EXPOSURE EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHERS SHOWCASE
Life for Harold, who was born into an exceptionally large family, was once endless family gatherings and shared work to accomplish whatever the season dictated. Today, with Harold being one of the last remaining members of this large family, abandoned homesteads and family mementos all carry the echoes of his personal history. Is it true that we gather echoes as we go through life, that we are beings of layered personal history? These photos are part of a larger project that represents a walk through family history, quietly exposing the emptiness and solitude of being the last of a large and active prairie family.
