This immersive exhibition explores the intersections of tradition and innovation in photography, weaving together themes of masculinity, portraiture, architecture, and the recontextualization of archives. As part of their month-long residency at Sparrow Arts, Brayden Kowalczuk and David Christensen take viewers on a visual journey from the raw materials of photography through to their transformation into refined, fully realized works. From the tangible craft of analogue processes to the conceptual reimagining of archives and identity, the show is a study in transformation, where photography moves from nothing, to something, to something else—constantly evolving and reframing itself in new contexts.
