Arts Commons Lightbox Studio, Ledge Gallery & Window Galleries

The galleries at Arts Commons present local, emerging artists from the RBC Emerging Visual Artist Program, who are both creating and exhibiting photographic work throughout the building from February 4th 2022 – May 22nd 2022​. ​ 

LEDGE GALLERY features Laura and Valentina Caraballo of RAZA Collective and their work Lasers of Sentiment, a photo and video project around the experience of immigrants in Calgary witnessing protests, riots, and social distress in their home country.​ 

LIGHBOX STUDIO features Haley Eyre with UNBASHED Art & Style, a magazine with a focus on local artists, challenging societal standards of beauty, and being true to one's self.​ 

WINDOW GALLERIES feature the dynamic photographic works from Twinkle Banerjee, Sam Doty, Mecoh Bain and Cerys Davis, and showcases traditional darkroom processes, documentary artworks and soulful imagery. ​ 

Our galleries are free to the public and feature both local and national emerging visual artists and community partners. Exhibitions rotate every three months and are also available to view virtually here
