“Although most photographers have fully embraced the digital age, I persist in traditional photographic methods. Most of the photographs in this book were made on film with medium and large format cameras. While some may regard my traditional methods as time-consuming, I find that the process of setting up, waiting for just the right moment to make the image, then developing the images in a dark room slows down my interaction with the world. The extra time required by traditional methods carves out a space in which I can immerse myself in the experience. By taking the extra time and by opening myself to see and hear, I am rewarded with a glimpse of life that most people pass by or overlook as mundane. This collection shows the exciting visual beauty I see in the mundane and overlooked. “
