PROJECT STATEMENT
Who am I? I thought of my grandfather. Everyone disliked him. He was violent. As far as I know, no one liked him. I disliked him too. But when I thought about who I am, I wanted to know about him. He is my genetic root. I spent time with him and took photos of his daily life. Through this project, I wanted to understand my origins and understand him. During the project, my grandfather passed away. I couldn't fully understand him, and I still don't have an answer to who I am. In the photos, there is a faded funeral portrait taken 20 years ago and his sleeping appearance. As I organized the photos, I realized one thing: there were no photos of him smiling. He looked lonely. And in those photos, I felt one thing: his love for me.
