Artist's Statement:
“Since I’ve Moved” has been a series in-progress, since I immigrated to Canada in 2016. This work documents my unfolding relationship with the vast emptiness of the prairies. While I was instantly drawn to this province’s postcard mountainscapes, I quickly realized that driving alone along long stretches of flatland highway stirred deeper feelings in me. These miles have become the road home.
Ian Martin Gregory grew up in Chelmsford, England and moved to Canada in 2016. He is a self-taught musician, letterpress printer, and photographer. He is also a cSPACE tenant. Find him at Feast Studio on the second floor.
