THE ARTIST’S LENS 2023: MANIFESTING THE HIDDEN
The Alberta Society of Artists
January 5 - February 25
Through an open call, Alberta Artists were asked to explore ideas of the hidden and intangible.
This idea is open to interpretation and can be expressed in different photographic-related mediums. Work could encompass the atmospheric, ‘other worldly’, mysticism, romanticism, mystery, nostalgia, horror, the macabre, apocalyptic, alien, and pinhole photography aesthetic. Works can focus on but are not limited to the idea of the bedroom, the ocean, space, dreams, the subconscious and the surreal.
This exhibition is part of the annual ongoing exhibition series called, "The Artist's Lens", which highlights the works of Alberta Photographers at all stages of their career from emerging to long-standing professionals.
All works were selected by a multi-person blind jury to create an exhibition centring art over artist.
Open: Wed - Sat: 10:00 - 16:00
Access: Location is wheelchair accessible. Exhibition is child friendly.
